Madonna Includes Fake Guns on Stage During Scotland Concert Right After Colorado Shootings
Last Saturday night in Scotland, Madonna rocked out to a concert in Edinburgh, Scotland. Not any old concert mind you; cops requested that she tone down the show out of respect for victims of Scotland's school shooting in 1996 and the recent Aurora, Colo. tragedy but she continued to include fake machine guns and pistols on stage.

A spokesman for Mothers Against Guns, told The Daily Record in Scotland, "She should know better....Madonna and her dancers using replica guns was always in bad taste but given what happened in Colorado it is even worse.”
So, the MDNA concert went on as planned, fake firefarms and all. The Material Girl also included the same choreography in other locations where it could be deemed in poor taste such as Tel Aviv, Israel.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, a touring staff member indicated, “Madonna would rather cancel her show than censor her art. Her entire career, she has fought against people telling her what she can and cannot do. She’s not about to start listening to them now.”
What do you think -- was it in poor taste to keep guns intact in the choreography or is art meant to be art, no censorship at all? Weigh in below!
