Gorgeous and glowing, fresh off jetting around the globe with her new boyfriend, dancer Casper Smart, Jennifer Lopez looked like she didn't have a care in the world as she filmed her upcoming talent show, Q'Viva! The Chosen, in Lima, Peru, on Dec. 3. But just two days before, the American Idol judge was left reeling by a vicious confrontation involving her 24-year-old flame and her bitter estranged husband, Marc Anthony, Star has learned exclusively.

OK! NEWS: MARC ANTHONY REFUSES TO PRODUCE AUDITIONS WITH J.LO

The drama began when Jennifer's manager, Benny Medina, coordinated a conference call between his client and Marc, 43, to discuss production on Q'Viva!, a Spanish-language American Idol-style competition. At the time, Jennifer, 42, and Casper were in Morocco Mall in Casablanca. "Casper was booked on a commercial jet — in economy, no less — back to Los Angeles, but J.Lo had decided that she wanted him to go with her to Peru for Q'Viva!," an insider tells Star.

When Marc learned through mutual colleagues that she intended to bring him, he was furious. So in the conference call, he objected to Casper to going to Lima, given that he and Jennifer were supposed to be working together. But Jennifer was indignant and insisted that Casper was coming." Fuming, Marc waited until he got confirmation that Jennifer's private jet had left Casablanca's Mohammed V International Airport. Then he called cocreater Simon Fuller — whose XIX Entertainment is the force behind Q'Viva! — intending to resign, the insider tells Star. "Marc told Simon the reason was, quite simply, J.Lo. He said 'I can't work with her!'"
