More Olympic Shockers: Gymnast Jordyn Wieber Flubs Score for All-Around
And the hits, they just keep on coming. Michael Phelps' fourth-place finish in the 400-Meter IM yesterday hasn't been the only surprise for Team USA during the Olympic Games so far.
Gymnast Jordyn Wieber failed to qualify for the all-around finals today. The reigning world all-around gymnastics champion, 17, was outdone by teammates Aly Raisman, 18, and Gabrielle Douglas, 16.
"It is a bit of a disappointment," Jordyn said in a statement after the competition today. "It has always been a dream of mine to compete in the all-around final of the Olympics."
Later, she took to Twitter to thank all her fans: "Thank you all for your love and support. I am so proud of our team today and I can't wait for team finals!!"
