Stevie Wonder Files For Divorce From His Wife of 11 Years
Guess he won't be calling to say "I love you" anymore. Music legend, Stevie Wonder, filed for divorce from his wife, fashion designer Kai Millard Morris, a rep confirmed to E! News.
"Today Stevland Morris filed for divorce, ending his marriage to Kai Millard Morris," reads a statement released on behalf of the couple. "As this is a private and personal matter, he asks that the public and the media kindly respect the privacy of Kai, his children, and family at this time."
Married in 2001, the former couple have two sons ages 10, and 7. This is the second marriage for the 63-year-old and in total he has seven children from previous relationships.
The pair have been seperated since 2009 and the musician cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.
Stevie is asking for joint custody of the children and has agreed to pay spousal and child support.
The icon rose to fame at an early age. At just 11 he was a Motown recording artist and he was on the charts with Fingertips at 13. In 2008, Billboard magazine listed him as the fifth hottest artist of all time.
