Uma Thurman on her Family, Fiancé and Career

W Magazine’s October cover girl, Uma Thurman, has revealed the details on her engagement to Arpad “Arki” Busson. When it comes to the future plans for her family and fiancé, Uma is taking it one step at a time. "I'm happily engaged, but we haven't set a wedding up. I'm not in a rush to do anything. One day we'll do it, when we're ready.”

Uma’ s number one priority is her kids. While juggling her career, family and fiancé is no easy task, the Kill Bill star has taken on the challenge.  She plans to stay in New York instead of moving to Arki's London location. “We can't live anywhere else because my children's' father lives here. We'll figure that out."

Because she takes projects that primarily keep her in New York, Uma acknowledges that her career has suffered and wants to get back into her career.  "I do care about my work, and it is part of me. And I am a mother, but I need to do what I'm good at doing. You really can't let go of all of yourself...Even your kids need you to be who you are."

On approaching 40, Uma reflects on her life in the spotlight and feels that she lived her life backwards."Getting older has been a process of realizing that I wasn't as grown up as I had thought."
