Britney's Emotional Return Home

Seems like it was just yesterday that 17-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears was giving birth to her first child while her big sis, pop star Britney Spears, waited with the entire family at a Mississippi — wait, it was just yesterday. Regardless, it was apparently time for Brit-Brit to hit the road, as she boarded a plane bound for Los Angeles earlier today.

With tears in her eyes, Brit said farewell to her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana, on Friday. On Wednesday night, she had flown there with her dad Jamie Spears and older brother Bryan for the birth of little Maddie Briann Aldridge.

This visit marked only her second trip to Kentwood in over a year. In May, the pop star had come home for Jamie Lynn's baby shower, which was featured exclusively in the pages of OK!.

Earlier this week, Brit's lawyer had told the judge in her conservatorship matter that Britney would be out of town and returning by Monday, which means that, for once, the singer is actually early on a deadline!
