Christina Applegate's Boyfriend Found Dead

Christina Applegate's boyfriend has been found dead in his apartment, the victim of an apparent drug overdose.

Lee Grivas,26, was discovered on Tuesday by a neighbor who found him in the living room of his Hollywood apartment. He was pronounced dead at 5:25 PM.

Lt. Fred Corral of the L.A. Coroner's office released a statement saying that "Grivas did have a history of drug abuse, and our investigator found a syringe at the scene." He did however caution that they are still awaiting results of the toxicology report."

After hearing the news, Christina released the following statement to OK! through a representative:

"I am profoundly saddened. Lee was an incredible human being who was an extremely important and beautiful part of my life. He is missed beyond words. He touched so many and I feel much sadness for his mother, brother and all of his family and friends."

Grivas and Applegate had been dating on and off following their first meeting through a dancer in her Broadway show Sweet Charity.

The actress, who currently stars on the ABC sitcom Samantha Who?, was previously married to actor Johnathon Schaech. They divorced in 2007.
