The real Weeble

Amy Winehouse has been called a lot of things, but this is probably a first. Jay-Z says she's a Weeble!

According to the rapper, no matter what you throw at her, Amy won't stay down -- just like the bottom-heavy 80s doll.

Thousands of words have been flung around recently, arguing about whether the 24-year-old singer is a troubled genius or a spoiled girl gone off the rails, a lost cause, or just in a rough patch.

But the ever-poetic Jay-Z had no trouble summing up the Rehab star's life in one... toy.

Since her album Back To Black became a hit in 2006, the Brit has been losing her battle against drug addiction, faced serious criminal charges, seen her husband jailed, been in and out of hospital and diagnosed with an incurable lung disase, not to mention having been forced to cancel her first major tour.

But every time she seems to have reached rock-bottom, Amy just keeps popping back up.

In the past month alone she has played major shows including Glastonbury festival and Nelson Mandela's 80th birthday party, plus a concert in Moscow for Russian billionaires and launched a club night in London.

Or as Jay-Z, who followed Amy on the main stage at the Glastonbury a couple of weeks ago, put it: "She’s like that toy from the Eighties, the Weeble."

"They had an ad campaign that went, 'Weebles wobble but they don’t fall down.' Well, that’s Amy," he told Britain's Mail on Sunday newspaper.

"You always think she’s going to collapse but she always gets back up again."
