Da Brat Goes to Da Big House

Rapper and Surreal Life alum Da Brat, real name Shawntae Harris, is about to have a lot of real life inspiration.

A Georgia judge sentenced Da Brat to three years in prison today, for hitting a woman in the face with a rum bottle during an altercation on Oct. 31. 2007.

After the sentencing, which also includes seven years of probation and 200 hours of community service, members of the rappers family burst into tears as Da Brat was taken into custody, according to The Atlanta-Constitution Journal.

"I love ya'll," the rapper told her family, who all replied "We love you too," as she was led from the courtroom.

The victim was a waitress at the Studio 72 nightclub where Da Brat was attending a Halloween party, and claimed that the attack left her with permanent facial scarring.
