Will Smith Raps 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' Theme Song at Gabrielle Union's 40th Birthday Party
It's been a long time indeed since we've equated Will Smith with the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, but the actor got in touch with his early 90s hip hop roots and rapped the epic theme song at Gabrielle Union's 40th birthday party this week.
Will grabbed the mic at the Miami bash and began with a minute-long freestyle to the beats of legendary DJ Doug E. Fresh. He made a quick detour to his 1991 hit "Summertime," before finishing off the impromptu performance with the iconic 1990 song about a "life that got flipped, turned, upside down" and ushered a whole generation into adolescence.
Since The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air wrapped in 1996, Will has gone on to star in a series of blockbusters and was nominated for two Best Actor Oscars for his work in Ali and The Pursuit of Happyness.
