'Winter's Bone' Star Jennifer Lawrence Says "I'm Attracted To My Brother"
Jennifer Lawrence may be nominated at the Oscars for Best Actress for Winter's Bone, but the 20-year-old hasn't lost touch with her roots in Louisville, Ky.
You can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl!
Jennifer opens up to Rolling Stone about her childhood and how she was a total tomboy. Her father owned a construction company, her mom ran a summer camp. She grew up loving horses, fishing, field hockey, softball and basketball.
Now she lives in L.A. but says "little redneck things still come out."
"I'm attracted to my brother," Jennifer says. "Stuff like that."
Oh, right. That kind of "stuff."
In Winter's Bone, Jennifer plays the 17-year-old daughter of an Ozarks meth-cooker who struggles to take care of her little brother and sister.
And her childhood upbringing helped her with the role — she already knew how to chop wood!
"I went through a wood-chopping phase when I was nine or 10," she admitted.
But it doesn't sound like Jennifer's very confident she'll take home an Oscar as she hasn't prepared an acceptance speech.
"I have been practicing my losing face, though," she says. "Do you want to see it?"
