The ladies attending the 2012 Golden Globe Awards weren't afraid to try a pop of color with their gowns, including yellows and reds as bright as the red carpet. While some stars were more adventurous with their choices, others stuck to black and still looked fabulous.

Trends on the red carpet this year included some bright colors, jewel tones and classic black.

Reese Witherspoon flaunted her figured in a strapless red Zac Posen gown, Michelle Williams looked radiant in a blue Jason Wu dress and Rooney Mara stuck with her Dragon Tattoo character and wore a cut-out Nina Ricci black gown.
