1st Annual American Giving Awards Honors Stars Who Give Back

Just before awards season is slated to begin early next year, a new type of honor was created and showcased on Friday night in L.A. at the 1st Annual American Giving Awards, shining a light on celebrities who make it a point to give back.

19-year-old Miley Cyrus was on hand to present an award, while Colin Farrell accepted an honor on stage for his efforts with Angelman’s Syndrome, which has greatly affected his son.
Rapper 50 cent, Gabrielle Union and Dancing with the Stars champion J.R. Martinez were also on hand at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, where LeeAnn Rimes, Will.i.am and Rodney Atkins performed.

The American Giving Awards presented by Chase, hosted by Bob Costas, airs tonight at 8 PM PST on NBC.
