Christian Bale was looking quite serious as he worked on the film set of his newest movie Knight of Cups.

The actor was filming alongside his co-star in the Terrence Malick film Isabel Lucas as they shot scenes in Santa Monica, Calif. The movie tells the story of a man who is searching for love and truth in his life.

This must have been quite a serious scene by the look on Christian's face. Knight of Cups has a star-studded cast including Natalie Portman, Wes Bentley and Cate Blanchett, amongst others.
