Elijah Wood & 'Wilfred' Fetch Celebrity Star Power at Premiere
What’s a guy to do when he sees an Australian man in a dog suit where there’s supposed to be a hairy mutt? That’s just the question posed by new comedy series Wilfred. A premiere party for the new series thrown by FX where Elijah Wood, Jason Gaan, Dorian Brown, and Fiona Gubelmann all showed up well-groomed for the festivities.

The series focuses on Elijah's character Ryan, a depressed man on the verge of committing suicide – who can’t even get that right. After a botched anti-anxiety pill cocktail and night’s lost sleep, the audience is left to wonder whether man/dog Wilfred is a figment of Ryan’s imagination or indeed real?

Jason, co-creater of Wilfred, when it was just a short film, plays the human hound and has in every version brought to television screens since. Suggested for mature audiences, the dubious duo promise their four-legged friend will have you laughing and even feeling a little bit uncomfortable. For a bit of a darker comedy, check out the pilot, airing June 23 at 10 P.M. EDT!
