George Clooney arrived in Washington D.C. last night, following a trip to Sudan, where he spent time in and met with residents of the volatile region before testifying in front of the U.S. Senate today.
The actor and human rights activist took the Amtrak train to the capital, and carried his own dry cleaning and luggage as he was escorted into his hotel by police.
"There seems to be the exact same signs that we saw in the beginning of Darfur, so we're going to talk about the urgency of some form of involvement," George told CBS This Morning of Sudan's situation. "That doesn't mean military, and it certainly doesn't mean money necessarily. What it means is good, strong, robust diplomacy, hopefully with China."
