James Franco Honored at amfAR Inspiration Gala Celebrating Style & AIDS Research

The second annual amfAR Inspiration Gala was held Tuesday night in the Big Apple at The Museum of Modern Art. The style forward even was focused on leading men's style, while benefiting AIDS research programs. Two commendable honorees included revolutionary designer Michael Kors for the amfAR Award of Courage Recipient and the mysterious intellectual James Franco for the Piaget Award of Inspiration Recipient. The event was designed with a specific theme entitled "Black Hot Tie Metal." Celebrity guest were advised to dress and incorporate the unique theme.

Jennifer Hudson attended the event looking beyond fit and thin, killing it in a long-sleeved mini dress. Rebel singer Ke$ha was also present with a blue streak, feathers, and black-booty shorts. Heidi Klum was arm-in-arm with her BFF and honoree Michael, rocking a teal drape dress.

James joked with reporters sharing his problems with clothing, his cats, and filming.

"I don’t wear shorts a lot. I wish I could wear shorts. I don’t look too great in like tank tops. It’s weird. I wish I could sport those a little more," James humorously said. When asked about his cats James took no shame in showing some hairs on his sleeve. OK! asked James about filming his cameo in the independent film Cherry. His response was short and sweet. "That’s a one day shoot. I haven’t done it yet," James said.
