While Jennifer Hudson may have delivered a breathtaking tribute to Whitney Houston at last weekend’s Grammy Awards, the singer took a step back at the 43rd Annual NAACP Image Awards last night in L.A.
The American Idol alum rather took the stage to perform “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” alongside Ne-Yo for Vanguard Award winner and filmmaker George Lucas.
Regardless, Whitney was not at all ignored. First, Yolanda Adams sang “I Love the Lord” for the iconic singer, followed by a gospel rendition of Whitney’s “The Greatest Love of All” by Kirk Franklin to close out the show.
