Jennifer Hudson Wishes a ‘Happy Birthday’ to President Obama in Chicago
Yesterday, President Barack Obama joined supporters in his hometown Chicago at the Aragon Ballroom for a hot 50th birthday celebration – literally! The temperature read 92 degrees in the venue, where Mayor Rahm Emanuel introduced Obama. A glowing Jennifer Hudson was on hand to sing “Happy Birthday” along with OK Go.

Noticeably missing from her husband’s side was First Lady Michelle Obama. Arriving solo, President Obama greeted the crowd of 2,400. While turning the big 5-0 can seem daunting, it didn't seem the case last night. President Obama was certainly in good humor yesterday.

He joked, “It’s true that I turn 50 tomorrow, which means that by the time I wake up I’ll have an e-mail from AARP asking me to call President Obama and tell him to protect Medicare.” Here’s hoping that call didn’t come the next morning!
