Jennifer Lawrence is one busy lady! The actress premiered her upcoming comedy, Silver Linings Playbook, at the Toronto Film Festival over the weekend and starts filming Catching Fire, the sequel to Hunger Games, on Monday!
Dressed in a dramatic, colorful ball gown, Jennifer opened up about how much her life has changed since saying yes to the role of Katniss Everdeen.
"Just saying yes to this one thing could completely change my life, and I don't know if it's going to be for the better," Jennifer said of her mind-set before making the decision to star in the smash hit Hunger Games. Ultimately, of course, she ended up doing the film — and for the same reason she signed on for the smaller projects that helped garner her a reputation as one of the best young actresses in the business.
"When I was doing indies, everybody was always like, `Why don't you ever do a studio?' I'd say, `Because I don't care about the size of the movie. I care about the story,'" Lawrence said. "And my mom was like, `Now you have a story you like, and you're not going to do it because of the size.' The truth was, in the bottom of my heart, I wanted to do it. I wanted to play this character. I was scared of the aftermath, but you can't say no to things because you're scared. You just have to go for it."
We're glad she did! Also glad? Bradley Cooper, her co-star in Silver Linings Playbook. Turns out, he's a major Hunger Games fan.
"I just saw it," he told Jennifer Saturday. "I didn't even tell you? I didn't text you?"
Jennifer and Bradley play two dysfunctional people who just happen to have great chemistry in the film, which also stars Robert De Niro, Julia Stiles and Chris Tucker.
