Katie Holmes headed to the Children's Museum of the Arts with daughter Suri this morning in NYC, hours before Tom Cruise's lawyer announced that the couple had reached a divorce settlement.

"The case has been settled and the agreement has been signed," Katie's attorney told E! News. "We are thrilled for Katie and her family and are excited to watch as she embarks on the next chapter of her life."

As for the custody battle over Suri, Tom and Katie released a joint statement, saying, "We are committed to working together as parents to accomplish what is in our daughter Suri's best interests."
