On Sunday, the 2011 BET Awards kicked off with a green carpet runway, where some of the finest strutted their stuff! Sorry guys, but the ladies won when it came to the night's best dressed. Kerry Washington rocked the carpet in an acid green silk dress by Michael Kors. The gown featured a high slit and dangerously low back, and when partnered with a sleek and simple ponytail, she had everyone’s attention!

New British X-Factor judge, Kelly Rowland, also stole the evening’s spotlight in a hot pink Notte by Marchese number. The ruffles hitting her from shoulder to thigh were a hot summer touch! Alicia Keys donned a pair of Balenciaga’s draped black pants despite the heat. Her fish-bone plait and bold red lip were a hit and a sure-fire summer trend.
