Lady GaGa Wins Fashion Award: The Meat Purse Did It!

Fashionista Lady Gaga was honored Monday for her style and influence on the fashion industry. Despite (or perhaps because of) the legendary meat purse and the egg costume, Gaga received an award at the 2011 CFDA Awards,  held at Lincoln Center in NYC. The Council of Fashion Designers of America, celebrated Gaga's trends by naming her the 2011 winner of the Fashion Icon Award. Paired with a teal wig and her sister Natali Germanotta, Gaga came just as wacky as expected in her custom Muglar creation.

Other winners of the night included Marc Jacobs and Swarovski. According to reports from the Huffington Post, when Gaga received a text from Vogue Editor in Chief Anna Wintour that she had won, Gaga confused her for another Anna, and proceeded to reply with the words "Yes b*tch, we did it!"

Although Gaga has won over hearts, some in the music industry are just not fond of her ways. Recently rapper Eminem has released a new song called "A Kiss" where he makes explicit remarks toward Gaga and her sexuality. Keep your head up Gaga, your little monsters love you!
