Nicollette Sheridan certainly dressed the part today! Nicollette made her way into a downtown L.A. courthouse wearing a suit to begin her testimony in her wrongful termination and battery trial against Desperate Housewives creator and executive producer Marc Cherry.

The 48-year-old actress claims their decision to kill off her character was wrongful termination of her employment due to an argument Marc and Nicollette had on set.

Nicollette's attorney also claimed (via CNN) Marc "lost his temper on the set and smacked Nicollette Sheridan on the side of the head — hard."

Adam Levin, who represents Marc and ABC, said the decision to kill off Nicollette's character was made months before the on-set dispute and it was a "light tap on the head."
