Oprah Winfrey & Sean Penn Hold Hands While on a Trip to a Refugee Camp in Haiti

On Monday, Oprah Winfrey met up with Sean Penn at a refugee camp in Haiti, which is now considered home to thousands of people who were directly affected by the aftermath of the 2010 earthquake.
The talk show host will air footage of the visit on OWN as part of a special that will show viewers what is still happening in Haiti.

“This is part of the next chapter, going around the world to see interesting and fascinating cases of profound examples of what can be done to make a difference in the world," Oprah explained to reporters on the site.
And Sean, who has spent a lot of his time in Haiti trying to rebuild the impoverished country, was happy to have Oprah there with him. His non-profit organization, the J/P Relief Organization, provides assitance to people who have lost their homes due to the earthquake damage. Over the past year and a half, over 50,000 individuals have lived in tents in the camp, which used to be a nine-hole golf course.

“Everybody who has spent time in Haiti knows how important it is for the world to see what is going on here," Sean told the Press Association. "We really appreciate that she’s here with us.”
