Sarah Michelle Gellar Smiles at 'Late Show' Despite Eli Manning Mishap

Sarah Michelle Gellar was all dressed up and ready to appear on Late Show With David Letterman last night. The Ringer star was appearing on David Letterman's show the same night as Super Bowl champion Eli Manning. Unfortunately, Sarah Michelle's hopes of meeting him were shot down!

David asked Sarah if she got to meet Eli backstage, and Sarah explained how she tried and failed.
"No, his security wouldn't let me near him. It was weird," Sarah told David on his show. "I was trying. I was like, 'No really, I'm just a big fan.' I think that's where I went wrong. 'I just want an autograph and a lock of his hair!' But they said 'no.' Awkward."
