What a night for Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert!
The husband and wife country singers raked in the awards at the CMA's and had quite the emotional evening when the couple won song of the year for tier duet "Over You," which is about Blake's brother who died at a young age.
"I lost my brother in a car wreck when I was 14-years-old, and later in life when I decided I wanted to be a country singer, my dad always told me, 'Son, you should write a song about your brother,' " Blake said in his acceptance speech.
"I lost my dad in January, and it's so amazing to me that tonight even after he's gone, he's still right," he continued.
"I just needed the right person to write this song with and the right person to sing it," Blake told Miranda. "I love you so much, baby," he said and he then kissed his wife's forehead.
A teary eyed Miranda then took the mic and said, "Thank you, Blake, for allowing me to sing this beautiful song and write it with you. Thank you CMA and all of our peers for voting for us. It's really emotional. We love y'all."
Miranda, who had three different wardrobe changes and stunned in $8,800 Dana Rebecca Designs Courtney Lauren One-of-a-Kind Rainbow Chrysocolla Earrings and a $1,800 Graziela Celestial Moonstone Ring, also took won female vocalist of the year for the third time.
Blake had the biggest night ever and was given the entertainer of the year honor in addition to winning best male vocalist.
