Quite possibly our favorite Twins book ever, right here. Don't let that angel looking like Elizabeth fool you, she's alive and well and angelic as ever in this book, which gives Liz her very own "It's A Wonderful Life" experience. She was trusted with the money the sixth grade class raised to throw a holiday party, but can't resist lending it to a poor family she meets while volunteering at a homeless shelter. Oh, the problems do-gooders have! Liz thinks she will get the money back before anyone knows the difference, but obviously, it doesn't work out that way. She has to tell everyone she "lost" the money, and everyone (meaning Jessica) makes her feel like the worst person who ever lived. Elizabeth wishes she had never been born, and voila: her guardian angel, a hippie chick with a sarcastic sense of humor, shows her the error of her wish. Oh, and it all works out in the end.
