The 14 Juiciest Celeb Meltdowns
#1: Michael Jackson
Pre-Meltdown: The self-proclaimed King of Pop. The great gloved one. Easily one of the most recognized people on the planet.
Low Point: Forgetting all about his various legal and financial troubles (of which there have been many in recent years), the biggest single moment in the Michael Jackson Meltdown Time Capsule would have to be the baby dangling incident of Nov. 19, 2002, when the Grammy winner, in a bizarre attempt to placate the fans cheering below the balcony of his Berlin hotel room, trotted out his infant son with what appeared to be a napkin over his face — and then held him out over the railing! Not exactly a great PR move for Jacko.
Entertainment Factor: For days, the clip of the incident was scrutinized more closely than the footage of the JFK assasination. Was that a real baby? Did Michael have a solid hold on him? How long was he actually in danger? Was there a second shooter or did Oswald act alone?
Current Status: Though Michael was never charged with anything after this incident, and though he has been cleared in most of his other legal matters, the King has yet to regain his throne, living mostly in seclusion outside of the United States and still hiding his children behind veils during rare public appearances. That's gotta be a healthy upbringing.
