Pre-Meltdown: The son of Martin Sheen. First member of '80s Brat Pack to have success in "serious" films with memorable roles in Wall Street and Platoon. Oh yeah, his brother is Emilio Estevez. Hot.

Low Point: So many to choose from... Could it be his accidental shooting of then-girlfriend Kelly Preston in 1990? Or when his name came up in Hollywood madame Heidi Fleiss' black book? His headline-making divorce/reconciliation/divorce from Denise Richards? Maybe it was Major League 2?

Entertainment Factor: Charlie's multiple scandals were merely confirmation to many that, behind closed doors, Hollywood is precisely the way it's depicted in the movies. Complete with (sorta) happy ending.

Current Status: In spite of his openness about his personal shortcomings, TV audiences and producers have been more than forgiving, not only allowing him to take over for Michael J. Fox on Spin City, but actually giving him a Golden Globe. And Two and a Half Men continues to be one of CBS's go-to sitcoms.
