Now: After Saved by the Bell ended, Mark-Paul starred in a series teen movies before taking over for fellow child star Ricky Shroeder on NYPD Blue. Mark Paul admitts that he hates watching re-runs of SBTB. “I turn it off. Am I embarrassed? Yeah, I guess you could call it that. I just don't like to watch myself. I don't know why. I criticize myself too much. I always say, ‘Oh, man, I can't believe I did it like that' or 'I can't believe I look like that!’”
