American Idol's head makeup artist, Mezhgan Hussainy, has the tough job of making a bunch of waitresses, bar maids, nannies and students look like pop stars. We asked her to share her secrets.

Mezhgan says California cutie Brooke doesn't need a lot of makeup. "She loves her eyelashes so we give her a strip of false lashes to give her eyes that little kick that they need," she says. A more dramatic look for Brooke is on the horizon. "I want to do something more daring with her soon."
