John Mayer was sporting a new, shorter 'do at the opening of the MGM Grand at the Foxwoods Resort & Casino in Connecticut over the weekend.

"I used to have very long dreadlocks down to my butt," the impish musician joked to OK!. "There was all this psychic energy that was trapped in them, and I felt if I shaved off my dreadlocks, it would free me from my own oppression."
