Molly Shannon grew up in my home state of Ohio, and we talked about being from the Buckeye state after interviews for Year of the Dog. Who was her celebrity crush back in the day? “I liked the Fonz,” she said. “I wrote him a letter saying I wanted to cook him spaghetti and meatballs, but I met him years later and he is the nicest guy.”
