Morgan Freeman Files For Divorce

Dark Knight star Morgan Freeman is divorcing his wife of 24 years, costumer Myrna Colley-Lee.

The Oscar-winner's lawyer and business partner Bill Luckett confirmed to Access Hollywood that the pair "are involved in a divorce action and, for legal and practical purposes, have been separated since December of 2007."

This announcement follows Freeman's car accident on Sunday, in which the car he was driving in rural Mississippi went off the road and flipped over. The passenger was identified as Demaris Meyer, who has been described as a friend.

Freeman has undergone surgery for a broken arm, broken elbow and minor shoulder damage and is expected to make a full recovery.
