A Solo CD for Zac Efron?

Zac Efron can sing, he can act and he can dance, as the enormous popularity of Disney's High School Musical franchise starring him can attest. The next logical step would be a solo album, right?

Wrong!

Dashing the hopes of tweens and teens everywhere, the blazing hot heartthrob says that's just not going to happen.

“Never,” he told OK! at the French Connection party at the Hollywood Life House in Toronto when we asked him if he'll release his own CD.

As if he could hear the anguished cries of fans everywhere, Zac explained his attitude towards the project, saying, “I don’t think I could contribute something to the industry that wouldn’t be something you’ve seen before."

Maybe his girlfriend and solo artist Vanessa Hudgens can point him towards the recording studio. Come on, Zac, your fans are waiting!
