Oscar-nominated actress Amy Adams is almost always red carpet-ready, and last night’s New York premiere of her latest film, Julie & Julia, certainly helped to keep that streak alive. The porcelain-skinned beauty looked stunning in a white floral print Carolina Herrera gown with intricate bead work and a daring asymmetrical off-the-shoulder neckline.
Despite the dismal weather in Manhattan on Wednesday afternoon, Amy Adams‘ smile was enough to bring a bit of sunlight to fans waiting outside the Ed Sullivan Theater, where she was going to tape The Late Show with David Letterman.
In fact, not long after the Julie & Julia actress headed inside the theater, the weather cleared up enough for Amy to step outside and show off her sexy red dress.

The red carpet was packed as Streep, Adams and Messina signed autographs and greeted fans. Of course, Adams looked stunning in a white dress and Christian Louboutin heels and Streep was classy in a red skirt and black top. Messina went on to tell Entertainment Tonight “I was just excited to be boning a duck with Meryl Streep!” when asked how it was taking cooking lessons with Meryl.

In the new issue of Ladies Home Journal Amy Adams opens up about finding love with actor Darren LeGallo — and about all the years she squandered trying in vain to find a perfect man.
“I spent most of my 20s looking to find a man. What a waste of energy,” Amy admits. “Now I actually have a man and I’m able to focus on becoming a woman.”
A huge turning point in her life — both romantically and professionally — came while filming Julia and Julia with Meryl Streep.
“I got engaged on this film — the day before I finished shooting,” she explains. “Maybe this is a very, I don’t know, young girl statement, but when you’re not seeking to gain the approval of your man, it’s amazing what you can accomplish.”
