Ugly Betty star Mark Indelicato described the scene of very, very quiet pandemonium that broke out when co-star Ana Ortiz introduced the rest of the cast to her brand new daughter.
The young actor, who plays Ana’s son on the show, said that America Ferrera, et al, were overjoyed to meet little Paloma for the first time — but had to curb their excitement so as not to wake her up.

New Mom Ana Ortiz Prepped to Get Back to Work

Congratulations to Ugly Betty star Ana Ortiz and husband, musician Noah Lebenzon, on the birth of their daughter, Paloma Louise Lebenzon!
The 7 lbs., 10 oz. girl was born in NYC on Saturday. This is the couple’s first child.
Ana recently spoke to OK! at an event for Product-n-Press Live and said that her first bit of business after giving birth was going to be introducing her to the family pets. "I have to get the dog and the baby to know one another so that will be interesting," she explained.
The 38-year-old star also revealed some information about Paloma’s room. “The nursery is beautiful and it’s all eco-friendly," explains Ana. "It was designed by a woman named Amanda Moore and she did an amazing job. It’s like this light blue wall and the accent colors are golden and orange and wood. It’s just fantastic.”
Even though Ana only has a few weeks before she has to get back to work on Ugly Betty, she told OK! that she’s not worried about being overwhelmed.
“I’m excited. I’ve gotten so much support from the cast and so much support from the producers and my mother’s going to come with me to set and help out," she explains. "I couldn’t ask for a better husband, he’s willing to do whatever needs to be done. Everyone’s so excited to have the baby on set that if I even see the baby while I’m working I’ll be surprised.”
In fact, the crew has already set up an on-set nursery for the baby girl in Ana’s dressing room. "There’s a basinet in there and a rocker. It’s hooked up. I’m so lucky!”

Ana Ortiz’s Broadway Dream Deferred

Ana Ortiz hid her baby bump last season on her hit show Ugly Betty but there was one role she was vying for where she couldn’t disguise her curves.
“I was actually gonna audition for [Chicago] and then I got pregnant!” Ana, who’s due with a baby girl on June 27, told OK! at the Ambassador Theatre in NYC, where Grey’s Anatomy star Chandra Wilson was making her debut performance as Mama Morton in Broadway’s Chicago on June 8.
“I sort of would love to do either Velma or Roxie,” says Ana, 38, who wants to “definitely” audition after she has her baby. “It’s where I started! It’s where all of us in Betty (started). We’re all like theatee geeks.”
Ana, who starts filming season four of Ugly Betty in just a few weeks, won’t have any trouble getting back into shape post-baby.
“Because they didn’t write (my pregnancy] into the show, it was kind of important to me to try to stay as much in shape as possible,” Ana says. “It’s the first time I ever worked with a trainer because I didn’t know how far to push everything.”
With just a couple weeks to go, Ana says she’s prepared to run out the door at a moment’s notice. Well, almost.
“The bag is packed – mostly,” she says. “I need to get some toothbrushes.”

Ana Ortiz’s Baby Shower Plans

?Ugly Betty’s Ana Ortiz is gearing up for a fashionable pregnancy party, courtesy of the show’s costume designer Patricia Field.
“She told me, ‘I’m going to throw you a baby shower,’ and I started crying,” the 38-year-old recently revealed to OK!. The actress is expecting a daughter in July with her husband, Everything is Energy guitarist Noah Lebenzon.
“That’s how the whole show is — very much a family atmosphere!” The Ugly Betty cast and crew will join the festivities at Patricia’s loft for what Ana expects will be a “pretty awesome” affair.
“As long as I don’t have to play those corny games where they wrap me in toilet paper,” she tells OK!, “and I’m there with my friends and having a group of drunk people celebrating babies!”

Ana Ortiz to Name Her Baby ‘Bowl?’

Ugly Betty star Ana Ortiz may only be six months pregnant, but her co-stars are already having fun coming up with the perfect baby name!
OK! caught up with Ana’a pal and Betty co-star Mark Indelicato at the West Side Story Broadway opening on March 19, where he shared some of his favorite monikers.
"We always joke on set about how we’re going to name her child one of those ‘Hollywood’ names," Mark told OK!. "So we pick inanimate objects. My name for Ana’s baby is Bowl. Because Bowl was the first thing I saw. I was like, ‘Oh my God, Bowl – perfect!’ Bowl Thread. That is the name of Ana’s baby."
Another Betty star, Rebecca Romijn, just had twins with her husband Jerry O’Connell. Has the new mom brought her babies to the set yet?
"She hasn’t," Mark tells OK!. "She’s in L.A., I want to see them so bad!"
