An unknown British actor called Andrew Garfield has been picked to follow in Tobey Maguire's cobwebbed footsteps as the next star of Spider-Man. After a worldwide casting search, Columbia Pictures has announced that 26-year-old Andrew will play Peter Parker and his arachnid alter ego in Spidey's next big-screen adventure, which goes into production in early December and swings into theaters in 3D on July 3, 2012, report ET Online.
