Get a Piece of Lilo… Sort Of

March 4th, 2009

Got $1.2 million to spare, Lindsay Lohan fans? Pony up the cash and you can be the owner of Lilo’s apartment in Manhattan, a two bedroom, two bathroom luxury space in the Atelier building.

Lindsay’s crib also feaures floor-to-ceiling windows, a view of the Statue of Liberty, and an open chef’s kitchen, which we’re sure is in perfect, barely-been-used condition. She also spent $100,000 to improve the place, which is very thoughtful of her.

Besides the faint lingering presence of Linds and Samantha Ronson, you’ll also have celebrity neighbors – Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo also have a place in the same building.

Heath’s Place: Unrentable

December 5th, 2008

The late actor Heath Ledger’s SoHo apartment in NYC still remains empty, almost a year after his death from an accidental overdose in January, according to Page Six.

Besides the fact that the beloved star died in the apartment is the fact that a willing renter would have to put up $26,000 per month to live in the three-bedroom loft, which is not a paltry sum in these trying economic times.

The three-bedroom, 4,400-square foot loft has been listed since July with the Corcoran Group – but a Page Six source indicates now that the apartment is "temporarily off the market."

Madonna Sues Co-Op Board

December 7th, 2007 / Author: cwillett

Pop superstar Madonna has filed a lawsuit against the management company of her luxury Manhattan building, claiming the cold-hearted board won’t let her purchase the neighboring apartment.

According to court papers, the singer believes that the co-op’s board of director’s wrongfully blocked her purchase of the apartment at 1 W.64th St., overlooking Central Park. The material girl and her film director hubby Guy Ritchie already owns one apartment in the building and is requesting the court allow the sale to go through — and also to rule that the board must pay her legal fees.

This isn’t the first time Madonna has wanted to expand one of her many properties. This past summer, she dug deep into her pockets to the tune of $12 million to purchase the building adjoining one of her London residences, with thoughts of connecting the 10-bedroom mansion to her meager 8-bedroom estate next door.
