Michael Lohan Pleads Not Guilty

May 27th, 2009

While he’s busy handing out advice to his daughter Lindsay Lohan about how to stay out of trouble, it seems Michael Lohan just can’t help getting tangled up in legal skirmishes.

After he was arrested for allegedly threatening to kill himself and his fiancee, Erin Muller, when she tried to break up with him, Michael appeared in court yesterday and pleaded not guilty to second degree aggravated harassment, TMZ reports.

Michael originally gave himself up on April 6 in Suffolk County, N.Y. and is due back in court next month. In a spate of good timing for Mike, his parole for a 2004 assault just ended in February.

Adnan Charged with Three Felonies

February 24th, 2009

Adnan Ghalib, the greasy paparazzo-turned ex-boyfriend of Britney Spears, has been charged with three felonies.

TMZ is reporting that Adnan was slapped with assault with a deadly weapon, battery and hit and run. Ghalib allegedly hit a man with his car in an alley on Feb. 11. The man was reportedly trying to serve Adnan with legal papers on behalf of Britney Spears.

One law enforcement source says Adnan allegedly hit the guy, who landed on the hood of the car and then continued driving. The server jumped on the hood of Ghalib’s Mercedes to avoid being pinned against a trash truck.

Cops and paramedics were called. The victim broke his wrist and suffered cuts and bruises.

Prosecutors are asking for bail set at $110,000. If convicted, Ghalib could get seven years in prison.

Nicky Hilton: Hobo-Cop

February 23rd, 2009

Don’t mess with Nicky Hilton! She may look tiny and defenseless, but she will take you down!

TMZ reports that the younger Hilton sister made a citizen’s arrest on Sunday after she was approached by a male transient who allegedly pushed her to the ground outside an IHOP in West Hollywood.

Law enforcement sources say after being pushed down, Nicky got right back up and made a citizen’s arrest, actually holding the assailant at bay until the cops showed up. When police did arrive, the bum allegedly told them he was Hilton’s best friend.

Nicky was not injured in the attack.

Man, where are the cameras when you need them!

Kelly Osbourne Arrested

January 19th, 2009

Like mother, like daughter?

So police are already investigating Sharon Osbourne for allegedly attacking a woman who said her man was stupid.

And now police are investigating Kelly Osbourne for… well, exactly the same thing.

British website, MailOnline.com is reporting that Kelly was arrested earlier this month for allegedly slapping gossip columnist Zoe Griffin for saying her fiance, Luke Worrall, was "stupid" and, weirdly, that he didn’t know what an earthquake was.

It’s claimed that Kelly found the Daily Mirror writer in a London nightclub, Punk, in August 2008, told her she "had issues" with her because people had been laughing at Luke over what she’d written, then slapped her face.

The Osbournes
star went voluntarily to a London police station with her lawyer on Jan 2 2009, the site reports, where she was arrested for common assault and bailed until her court hearing in March.

L.A. police are investigating her mom Sharon for allegedly attacking a contestant on the reality show Rock of Love: Charm School last month.

Contestant Megan Hauserman claims Sharon, who hosts the show, pulled her hair and scratched her until she was pulled away and restrained by security staff — because Hauserman called Sharon’s husband Ozzy a ‘brain-dead rock star’.

Stars in a Driving Daze

December 31st, 2008

Apparently some stars never learn the very important lesson that fame won’t keep you from being popped for disobeying the law: Matt Dillon, Charles Barkley, and Doug Wilson (of Trading Spaces) have all been arrested recently for bad behavior while driving.

Matt was nabbed going 106 mph in a 65 mph zone in Vermont last night. State troopers pulled the actor over around 10 p.m., and he was  fingerprinted, cited and photographed before being sent on his law-abiding way. No word on whether he was under the influence at the time.

Meanwhile, Charles was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence early this morning in Scottsdale, Ariz. after he ran a stop sign. He was also cited and released, according to reports.

Doug, better known as a designer on the popular TLC show, Trading Spaces, was pulled over and arrested early Tuesday morning after a night on the town in Illinois, according to E! News. He failed to yield to a police vehicle around one in the morning, and was taken into custody and charged with aggravated DUI, driving on a suspended license, failing to yield the right-of-way to an emergency vehicle and unlawful transportation of alcohol. He was booked into the county jail and released a few hours later on $1,000 bond.

Let’s hope these stars live and learn for the new year!

Kanye Arrested, Then Released In The UK

November 14th, 2008

Kanye West must have been feeling a little déjà vu last night.

The rapper was arrested for supposedly getting into a scuffle with a photog, only to be sent on his way without charges — just like he was in L.A. a couple of months back.

According to TMZ.com, the Stronger star was coming out of a night club in Newcastle, England, early this morning with four girls when the pap started snapping.

The photog claims that Kayne grabbed the camera and jammed it into his face, cutting his nose.

The cops arrested Kanye at his hotel, but released him after a "short investigation," according to the site.

It seems that none of this is new to either of the parties involved.

Apparently the photog involved had made similar claims against a British soccer star a few months earlier.

And Kanye himself was arrested for allegedly fighting with a pap at LAX on Sept. 11, but no felony charges were ever filed.

UPDATE: TMZ has just posted pictures of the photog involved showing a cut on his nose that he claims was made when Kayne hit him with the camera. It is, you might say, less than life threatening. In fact, putting a Band Aid on it would be somewhat over-dramatic.

Heather Heads for Recovery

October 8th, 2008 / Author: OK! Staff

Just days after her Sept. 27 arrest on suspicion of DUI, life appeared to be back to normal for a fit and healthy-looking Heather Locklear.

On Oct. 2, the former Melrose Place star, 47, ran errands with a female friend, browsing the greeting card racks at a Longs Drugs store near her suburban L.A. home for a birthday wish for fiancé Jack Wagner, who turned 49 the following day. She even laughed out loud at several in the selection.

“Heather could not have seemed more relaxed,” an eyewitness tells OK!. “You would never have known she’d been photographed in handcuffs just a few days earlier.”

The actress and her friend had just come from lunch at The Natural Café. “Heather had her usual: the vegan mushroom barley soup and a half sandwich,” another source tells OK!. “But she was more interested in going over some paperwork than her food.”

Heather was arrested Sept. 27 when police determined she was driving impaired, possibly by prescription drugs.

She is being represented by top attorney Blair Berk and charges are still pending.

Shia: No Drunken Driving Charges

September 26th, 2008

The good news for Shia LaBeouf: He won’t be charged with drunken driving for the July 27 car accident where his hand was badly injured, due to insufficient evidence.

The bad news for Shia: He could still have his license suspended for refusing to take a breathalyzer test.

Although the collision was shown to have been caused by the other driver running a red light, officials had suspected that Shia had been drinking.

”Shia is most happy that he will not have to go to court,” said his attorney, Michael Norris, according to the Associate Press.

The Eagle Eye actor will have to attend a traffic hearing with the DMV today, which could result in his license being suspended. However Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department spokesman Steve Whitmore says he doesn’t think that will happen.

”I anticipate that once we do have the opportunity to litigate the matter at the DMV that his license will not be suspended,” the AP quotes Norris as saying.
