Actors Settle Criminal Case

Josh Brolin and Jeffrey Wright have just scored a pretty sweet deal in their criminal case in Shreveport, L.A., according to TMZ.

 

The two actors, who were arrested and charged with interfering with police after a bar fight last July, just have to stay out of trouble with the law until March 11 to have all charges dropped.

 

Both men became involved in a brawl at a bar while they were on location for Oliver Stone’s W, in which they both star. They were both pepper sprayed, and Jeffrey was tasered as well.

Lindsay Sued for SUV Spree

Over a year after Lindsay Lohan jumped into an SUV that didn’t belong to her and allegedly chased her freshly-fired assistant, three men who were in the car with her are suing the Mean Girls star for battery, false imprisonment and negligence.

 

Lilo, who was arrested that night in July 2007 after the woman driving the car she was chasing led her to the police station, eventually pled guilty to driving under the influence of cocaine.

The recently rehabbed star’s lawyer, Ed McPherson, says the suit is absurd, according to the Associated Press. He also claims the men had fun during the car ride, and questions why they waited so long to file their suit.

 

"It just doesn’t make sense,” the AP quotes him as saying. ”They had ample opportunity to get out of the car. ‘It’s three guys who want to get a lot of headlines and want to make some money.”

The case, which was first reported by TMZ, will be heard in Santa Monica.

Brad Paisley: Arrested?

Brad Paisley has been pranking tourmate Jewel for weeks now, jokes that he thought were done with after their last gig in San Antonio, Texas last Saturday.

 

He thought wrong.

 

After Brad and his crew landed in Nashville early on Sunday morning via private jet, they were greeted by two police cars flashing their lights. An officer asked for the country star to step out of the plane so he could speak with him, and told the others to remain onboard the jet.

 

"We haave warrants out of Texas and Tennessee for you," the retired cop says. "We’ll get you downtown and you can get your lawyer."

 

"Okay," replied Brad as he’s placed into handcuffs, adding, "You’ve gotta be kidding."

 

"Do I look like I’m kidding?" the tough officer responds.

 

"Well, no you don’t," Brad admits, "but I’ve never done anything wrong in my life."

 

When he’s placed in the back of the police vehicle and told that Jewel has charged him with 42 counts of excessive noodling on the guitar, Brad realizes the joke is truly on him.

 

"This is as good as it gets," he tells the camera. "I didn’t think for a second it was a real bust, by the way."

 

Suuuure Brad, whatever you say!

Tatum: The Cops Saved Me!

After Tatum O’Neal’s arrest on Sunday, the actress talks to the New York Post about the incidents that led up to her attempting to buy drugs in NYC. She told the paper, "I’m still sober!"

She added, "Just when I was about to change that and wreck my life, the cops came and saved me!"

Although she had a slew of excuses when arrested for why she was trying to buy drugs, she told the Post that the real reason was the death of her 16-year-old dog. She now admits, "there’s no excuse for what I did," other than the new excuse she now gives the paper.

"I lost my Scottish terrier, Lena, [three weeks ago.] That seemed to set me off," she said. "She got old. She got cancer. She was the fabric of our family. We had to let her go to heaven. My daughter and I had to put her down. It was too horrible for words. "

But Tatum is just happy that she didn’t end up relapsing. "I was saved by the bell, by the guys in the Seventh Precinct."

 

Tatum is due in court on July 28.

Cops Called to Amy Winehouse’s Apartment

Amy Winehouse has once again found herself in front of the police – but this time it’s not about her for once!

Cops turned up at the troubled singer/songwriter’s London flat at 2 a.m. last night after her friend Kristian Marr broke into her garage.

Kristian, bassist for Towers of London and boyfriend of Sadie Frost, stopped by Amy’s Camden apartment for a visit, but was locked out. He subsequently broke into her garage to catch some shuteye.

When authorities showed up to remove Kristian from the premises, he refused and insisted he was “staying” with Amy. He was eventually searched and taken into custody.

Amy, for her part, did not answer when cops tried to question her.

The 24-year-old was recently released on bail for alleged drug offenses.

Amy Winehouse Arrested!

After a British tabloid ran a video of Amy Winehouse allegedly doing drugs, Amy has found herself in police custody in London today. She was arrested earlier and still remains with police.

 

The video shows Amy doing estacy, cocaine and crack during a 19-minute period. A spokeperson for Amy told the press: "Amy Winehouse voluntarily attended a London police station today by appointment. She was arrested in order to be interviewed and is co-operating fully with inquiries. The interview relates to a video handed to police earlier this year."

 

This is the second time in two weeks that Amy has been arrested. She had been charged with assault a few weeks ago after allegedly hitting a man outside a London nightclub.

Amy Winehouse Arrested!

Earlier this week, a London partygoer alleged that Amy Winehouse attacked him, with her beehive, while he was attempting to hail her a cab outside a night club.

 

Scotland Yard quickly investigated the man’s claims regarding the troubled pop singer and today arrested Amy on suspicion of assault, according to TMZ.  She faces up to six months in jail if found guilty.

Brazil Declines Naomi Campbell’s Blood

The country of Brazil has rejected Naomi Campbell’s blood.

Trying to do some good, the temperamental supermodel turned up at the HemoRio medical center to participate in a blood drive to fight a dengue fever epidemic, but officials turned her away.

No, it wasn’t anything personal — just medical. Naomi had surgery in February to remove a cyst; thus, she needs to wait longer before donating blood.

 

Have no fear though — the 37-year-old, who was arrested two weeks ago for assaulting a police officer in an airport, is still feeling the love in Brazil. She often visits the country and Rio Mayor Cesar Maia has invited her to be a goodwill ambassador for the city.

Naomi Campbell Arrested at Airport

Naomi Campbell has been arrested for assaulting a police officer at Heathrow Airport, TMZ reports.

The supermodel reportedly threw one of her infamous temper tantrums after learning one of her three carry-on bags was MIA on a British Airlines flight en route to Los Angeles Thursday morning. Deeming her unfit to fly, officers eventually escorted Naomi off the plane, which was when the altercation occurred.

This is, of course, not the first fit the 37-year-old has thrown. Naomi attended anger management classes and completed five days of community service last spring after throwing a cell phone at her housekeeper.
