Billy Bob Thornton’s estranged daughter, Amanda Brumfield, has been charged with first degree murder, aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter of a one-year-old girl who died under her care, TMZ reports.
The woman told cops in October that the little girl died after a fall from her playpen, but now detectives say that story doesn’t work with the child’s injuries. According to an autopsy, the girl suffered a fractured skull and a subdural hematoma due to blunt trauma.
Billy Bob’s publicist told TMZ when the story first hit the news that the two haven’t spoken for "quite some time."
Billy Bob’s Band Backs Out

Note to actors-turned-musicians: Don’t liken your audience to any kind of side dish.
Billy Bob Thornton’s band has canceled the remainder of its Canadian tour after an unfortunate comment made by the actor on air, according to the Associated Press.
The Boxmasters front man told radio host Jian Ghomeshi of CBC radio’s "Q" show that Canadian audiences were… well, blah.
"We tend to play places where people throw things at each other," Billy Bob said. "Here, they just sort of sit there. And it doesn’t matter what you say to ‘em. … It’s mashed potatoes but no gravy."
Billy was also apparently ticked off that Ghomeshi started the interview with questions about his film career, a topic that was supposedly off limits.
The band then opened for Willie Nelson on Thursday in Toronto and were greeted by boos, catcalls and jibes of "Here comes the gravy." Sounds like a regular old food fight!
The Boxmasters then posted a note on Willie Nelson’s site Friday with the cancellation announcement, "due to one band member and several of the crew having the flu."
Maybe it’s food poisoning from a bad batch of… gravy? Just sayin’.
Billy Bob Wants to Work with Angelina

Billy Bob Thornton claims he still talks to ex-wife Angelina Jolie–and all the time.
In an interview with TheBoot.com, the actor says, "I’d like to do another movie with Angie too, one of these days. We talk all the time. She and I keep looking for something to do together; we just have to find the right thing."
Uh-huh. Wonder if Angie’s main man, Brad Pitt, knows about all this back and forth chit-chat?
The Changeling star, 33, met second husband Billy Bob, 53, when they co-starred in the 1999 film Pushing Tin. The pair played a married couple which led to an off-screen romance. They married in 2000 and divorced three years later.
Billy Bob Is “So Happy” For Angelina

Five years after their divorce, Billy Bob Thornton has nothing but kind words to say for Angelina Jolie and her growing family.
“I think she was always meant to be a mother in so many ways,” Billy Bob tells Extra. “I’m just so happy for her.”
Billy Bob and Angelina split in 2002, shortly after she adopted Maddox, now 6, from Cambodia. Their divorce was finalized a year later, and although the actor was listed as Maddox’s father, Angelina received sole custody, and Brad Pitt officially adopted Maddox in 2006.
“I’m happy for the kids to have a mother like her and a father like him,” Billy Bob, a dad himself of four, says.
The 52-year-old is left even more “astounded” by his ex-wife’s goodwill and humanitarian efforts.
“I’m astounded that somebody has that kind of passion and that much energy for something that actually does affect people and help people out,” he says.
