Brody Jenner’s Bro Code

December 29th, 2008

The number one resolution on the New Year’s list of The Hills‘ star Brody Jenner? Find a new best bro!

He’ll be doing exactly that on his new reality series Bromance, which premieres tonight.

Brody isn’t taking the search to find a new BFF lightly. "Every bro is different," he tells me of the nine men who compete for the title.

"Ultimately, I"m looking for someone to be a loyal friend who is trustworthy, first and foremost. And someone who gets along with who you surround yourself with already is good too."

That means Brody’s new pal will have to gel with his existing bros Sleazy T and Frankie Delgado, who aid him in his search.

"Frankie was always getting jealous, which is pretty funny," Brody laughs.

Earning entry into Brody’s inner circle isn’t an easy feat. Some of the challenges are just, well, strange.

"There could be some alligators involved in the sleeping arrangements," Brody reveals. "It’s not pretty."

But worth the battle. Bromance’s winner is a pretty cool dude, according to Brody.

"I get along with him very well," Brody confesses, then spills, "We can’t hang until the show airs, which kinda sucks."

Don’t worry, Brody. True friendships withstand the test of time!

Bromance premieres Monday, Dec. 29 at 9 p.m. on MTV.

Brody: “No One Can Replace LC”

October 24th, 2008

With rumors of spin-offs and tension between the leading ladies heating (more like boiling) on The Hills, this fifth season could be the final run for MTV’s hit reality series that took young, beautiful, wild, and media-starved teenagers and turned them into megastars.

When Lauren Conrad, 22, graduated high school, Laguna Beach replaced her with another blond—her 21-year-old bubbly nemesis, Kristin Cavallari. But if the leading lady decides not to return to The Hills, the show looks to be over for good.

"They will never find anybody to replace LC," Hills hottie and Lauren’s ex Brody Jenner, 25, told OK! at club mur.mur at the Borgata Hotel Casino in Atlantic City. "She’s an incredible girl and there will be nobody to replace her."

When Hills star Whitney Port, 23, left the show and was offered her own New York-based spin-off, The City, speculation rose that Audrina Patridge, 23, and other stars would soon follow. Brody said he’s not opposed to following Whitney’s lead by having his own Hills spin-off.

"Of course, I mean, I’m just saying if it’s the right thing than yes," said Brody, who got some practice being the leading man with his MTV reality show Bromance, where he searches for a male addition to his entourage. "I think it’s something that nobody’s ever seen before. Its not The Hills. It’s not anything else. It’s something different and cool that people get to laugh about and laugh at me."

With Audrina focusing on an acting career, Lauren focusing on her fashion line and Heidi Montag focusing on her, um, music career, it seems the reality show that made the ladies famous is the least of their concerns.

"I think everyone is doing their own thing and having fun," said The Hills latest addition Doug Reinhardt, 23.

Whatever happens with The Hills this season, Brody said the cast mates will always remain close.

"If everything works out then we’ll do a fifth season and if not it’s all good," Brody says. "We’ll all go our separate ways and we’ll always be friends."

Brody Jenner Has a Bromance

June 10th, 2008

Are you ready for a Bromance with Brody Jenner?

The Hills star will headline his own series on MTV, the network announced.

Bromance, a brainchild of Ryan Seacrest’s production company, will pit bro against bro for a spot in the 24-year-old’s entourage.

"Bromance takes a successful TV format and turns it on its head," MTV Senior VP Series Development Liz Gateley said in a statement. "Brody is the perfect fit for this concept; he is the type of guy everyone wants to hang out with."

"Regular guys" will compete in a series of challenges, such as dealing with the paparazzi to "group dates" and "alone time" with Brody, in the six-episode series. At the end of each episode, Brody will dismiss a bro in the "Hot Tub Elimination Ceremony," in which the rejected bro will leave the bachelor pad dripping wet in swimming trunks.

Let the competition begin!
