Did Bruce Willis Have Casting Call to Meet Wife?

March 25th, 2009 / Author: OK! Staff

It’s always been a bit unclear as to how Bruce Willis met his new wife, model Emma Heming. Reps for the actor have said the pair have mutual friends, but a new story has a slightly wilder tale to tell.

A story from Wednesday morning’s NY Post alleges that the Die Hard superstar actually met the 30-year-old beauty when he was casting for lovely ladies to star in his 2007 erotic techno-thriller flop Perfect Stranger.

"He personally went through head shots and when the girls were called in to ‘read,’ he was there in the meeting," the Post quotes a source as saying. "It was odd for the star of a movie to do so, but at the time he was single and I guess he needed a date."

Though he didn’t begin dating Heming right away (that honor went to another actress, Tamara Feldman), she did score a minor role in the movie. The story claims that Willis eventually began dating both Emma and Tamara until he ultimately made his choice. Not surprisingly, Bruce’s rep had nothing to say on the claims made by the newspaper.

Bruce Willis’ Tropical Wedding

March 22nd, 2009

His ex-wife Demi Moore went out and got herself a young one when she married Ashton Kutcher a few years back, but it was Bruce Willis‘ turn to say "I do" to a younger spouse on Saturday.

Reps for the 54-year-old actor confirm to OK! that he married Emma Heming, 30, his girlfriend of a little more than a year.

The pair were wed at a private ceremony at Bruce’s home in the Caribbean paradise of Parrot Cay, Turks & Caicos. Ashton and Demi were on hand for the ceremony, as were the three daughters she had with Bruce — Rumer, 20, Scout, 17, and 14-year-old Tallulah Belle.

According to the rep, the couple will make things truly official when they have a less-luxurious civil ceremony upon their return to California.

Bruce Willis’ Atty Calls Lawsuit “Frivolous”

March 2nd, 2009

Bruce Willis‘ attorney is calling a $4 million lawsuit against the actor–in which he is accused of breaching contract to produce the film Three Stories About Joan–"frivolous" and having "no merit."

Willis’ attorney tells Extra, "In over three decades of practice, I have rarely seen such an absurd lawsuit. The production companies admitted they did not have the financing in place for the film, failed to pay members of the cast and crew, and failed to deposit Bruce Willis’ compensation in escrow, which resulted in the film not going forward. After Mr. Willis threatened to sue the production companies for their breach of contract, they responded with this baseless lawsuit. Mr. Willis and other individual producers will proceed with their multi-million-dollar affirmative claims against the production companies this week, and are confident that they will prevail."

Honor Turns To Shame For Robert Pattinson

November 4th, 2008 / Author: OK! Staff

On Tuesday Nov. 4., Robert Pattinson must have been wishing he had superhuman strength like his character in Twilight.

The 22-year-old actor was being honored at Planet Hollywood in NYC, where he was due to cast his hand-prints in cement, to be displayed alongside stars like Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

But a hold up before the ceremony meant that the mixture began to firm up before the

English actor, 22, made it to the stage.

When a mortified-looking Robert couldn’t make a big enough dent by resting his entire bodyweight on his palms, an equally mortified female assistant had to force each of his fingers individually into the block.

And while she awkwardly pressed down on his digits, poor Robert went increasingly red in the face — partly because of all the pushing, but mainly because hundreds of girls were watching him fail to make a mark in wet cement!

"Even before the disaster with the cement, you could tell he was quite shy in front of all the screaming girls," an onlooker told OK!, "but when that started to go wrong, I think he just wanted to curl up in a ball!"

Demi and Ashton Pregnant?

October 1st, 2008

Demi Moore is behaving like a woman who is set to become a mom for the fourth time!

On Sept. 29, the actress, 45, dined with hubby Ashton Kutcher, 30, at Jake Melnick’s Corner Tap in Chicago, where she enjoyed a nonalcoholic beer with her eggs overeasy, French toast and home fries.

Her fuller figure was covered up at a viewing party for Ashton’s new show Opportunity Knocks at 24K in Hollywood on Sept. 23.

Guests drank champagne, but Demi stuck to bottled water.

“Every few minutes, Ashton checked on Demi,” a partygoer tells OK!. “They were so cute
together and are so in love.”

This would be the first child for the couple, who married in 2005, but Demi is already mother to daughters Rumer, Tallulah and Scout Willis with ex-husband Bruce Willis.

Ashton has expressed his interest in expanding their family, saying in the past that the couple might even consider adoption.

Rumer Scouts ‘From Within’

May 7th, 2008

Questions about her family and personal life are off-limits at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of the Rumer Willis thriller From Within. Only questions about fashion and film will be permitted less than 24 hours after the spawn of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis enjoyed a night out with Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford. (This is always the policy when there’s a scandal brewing.)

Rumer’s white Stella McCartney dress is drooping on the concrete as reporters pepper her with fashion questions. She’s very media-savvy.

How does she choose her roles?

“I don’t discriminate whether it’s a big studio movie or an indie, but what I look for are finding characters that will either push me outside of my comfort zone and challenge me or do things that I want to explore.”

While shooting in Maryland, Rumer, 19, and her co-stars liked to hit the local Applebees. “The scene at Applebees is hoppin’, man,” she says. “We had a great time. In Aberdeen, Maryland, there’s not too many things to do. I like to order chicken fingers and french fries.”

Last question. What does she make of the Chace Crawford romance rumors? “Huh?” she says, as her rep shoos her away.

Here comes dad Bruce with his girlfriend. “I’m very excited for her,” she says. “I’m a big fan.”

No wonder Rumer’s sensitive about her famous family.

“You can’t help but notice her similarities [to her parents],” director Phedon Papamichael tells me. “Sometimes she sounds or looks like Demi, sometimes she’s like Bruce. I try not to think in those boxes. She’ll find her own identity I’m sure.”

From Within is in theaters August 29.

Demi Moore Is ‘Flawless’

March 28th, 2008

Personal questions are off-limits during a special screening of Demi Moore’s diamond-heist thriller Flawless presented by The Cinema Society and Piaget.

The event, held at NYC’s Tribeca Grand Screening Room, brings out daughter Tallulah Belle, ex-hubby Bruce Willis, his gal pal Emma Hemming, Carson Kressley, Debbie Harry, Russell Simmons and Pauly Shore.

At 7:17 p.m., a hush rolls over photogs in anticipation of the one, the only Demi. She won’t arrive for some time, but when she blows in, she turns on the charm. “I’m a little — whew!” she says.

In the ‘60s flick set in London, Demi plays a woman constrained by the glass ceiling who teams up with a retiring janitor to steal diamonds from their employer, the London Diamond Corporation.

What does she prefer about that era?

“Well, I was born in the ‘60s,” she tells me.

Who does she consider Flawless?

“As human beings, we tend to have a real drive for perfection,” she says. “It’s really the things that are flawed that we find the most beauty and perfection in. Even in this movie, every character in this is completely flawed, which is what makes it so human.”

In the flick, 45-year-old Demi ages to 80. How did it feel?

“It was strange to see myself, but it didn’t feel like me. I kept looking. Even though I could see my eyes — because they also aged my eyes — it was odd.”

She describes working with Michael Caine, who plays the janitor, as “a dream.” She says, “I love a man who has clear priorities. He knows what he does well, he gets in there, does it and he’s already got the best restaurants chosen to go eat as soon as we wrap.”

The film was shot in Luxembourg. Director Michael Radford tells me, “There are more Michelin guide restaurants in Luxembourg per square foot than anywhere else in the universe because it’s a town of banks and bankers, so they like to eat well. You can always eat well there.”

Since the film is about diamond thieves, what’s the last thing Demi stole?

“When I was 12, I stole a weeble,” she admits.

Likewise, for Russell? “I stole Carmex [lip balm] from my girlfriend this morning,” he laughs.

What does Debbie consider Flawless? The gold bracelet a fashion reporter is sporting.

“Yeah, that’s pretty flawless,” she says, pointing.

Flawless is in theaters now.
