Fresh off her second consecutive win as Top Female Vocalist at the Academy of Country Music Awards, Carrie Underwood will return to the American Idol stage on Wednesday night to perform on the season 7 show finale.
The former Idol winner will sing her smash hit "Last Name." Underwood is currently headlining her Carnival Ride tour with special guest Josh Turner. Her debut album, Some Hearts, was recently certified 7x-Platinum, becoming the best-selling solo female country debut in RIAA history. Some Hearts has also surpassed all other releases as the all-time U.S. top-selling album by any American Idol contestant.

Country superstar Carrie Underwood may have a new man on her arms in the form of Gossip Girl cutie Chace Crawford, but that doesn’t mean she’s looking for anything more at the moment. The singer tells OK! that while family is on her mind, she doesn’t have the timeline for her life ambitions carved out yet.
“We only have a certain amount of time to do stuff like get married or have kids,” Carrie tells OK!. “But I’m not going to be like, ‘I will be married within blank years’ and grab the nearest person I see to get married.”
Rather, the 24-year-old, whose new disc Carnival Ride drops to No. 3 this week, believes these matters are out of her hands.
“Things have a way of happening. I’m just along for the ride.”
