Stars Primp For ‘Sex And The City’ Premiere

May 30th, 2008

Sarah Jessica Parker sparkles at the Sex and the City: The Movie premiere held at Radio City Music Hall in NYC.

“The best part of doing this movie is being back with my best friends again,” she tells reporters. “The sexiest part about tonight is being with you — and all those people.”

The massive crowd gathered across the street certainly deserves the love. Umbrellas perched, the devotees wait through a fierce downpour – and every single woman is dressed up just like Carrie Bradshaw herself. Talk about an ego boost!

While Kim Cattrall strikes a cute pose alone, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon dash into the theater together.

The girls’ significant others fly solo. After posing for photos, Sarah Jessica’s super-sweet hubby Matthew Broderick climbs over the velvet rope and slinks off the pink carpet. After all, this is her night to shine. On the other hand, Kim’s chef boyfriend, Alan Wyse, chats it up. Cynthia’s girlfriend, Christine Marioni, enters an hour earlier. She’s wearing a beige men’s suit!

Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson, who plays Carrie’s assistant, makes a pit stop. She has really slimmed down. Impressive! What did she love about the show? “They talk about real things that we all go through.” And, what does she think about the new American Idol David Cook? “I love David Cook but I felt Archuleta should’ve won,” she says. “At this point, they’re both the bomb.”

Fergie, whose tune Labels And Love is the theme of the movie, shows off her engagement bling. How many carats? “I’m not telling,” she jokes. “Guess.” What’s the story behind the song? “It’s a love triangle between fashion, friends, plus love.” Wait, where’s fiancé Josh Duhamel? Home sick! : (

Here come the guys.

What was the sexiest part of making the film? “We got to do it so many times,” Chris “Mr. Big” Noth says.

David Eigenberg can’t believe this movie was made. “I’ve been on the record saying this day would never, ever happen, and it has. I was wrong! Happily I can admit I was wrong.”

Jason Lewis is thrilled to be back with the cast. “It was fun,” he says. “I actually had everyone out for a barbeque. It’s always family.”

Willie Garson, who plays SJP’s gay best friend, slides through. “I love cosmos,” he says.

Donald and Melania Trump make their entrance. Ivanka’s stepmom confesses she loves the SATC style, and Donald says the flick is “great for New York.” … Oh, there’s Jerry Seinfeld and wife Jessica waving. Hi guys! … Idina Menzel is thrilled to be here tonight. … Get this: Destiny’s Child’s Michelle Williams says she’s holding a Sex and the City viewing party, like millions of women around the world. … Donna Karan gives a thumbs up when asked if the SATC women inspire her fashion. …

Lauren Bush, with much older boyfriend David Lauren, won’t talk about cousin Jenna’s wedding, but says she’s well-rounded like Carrie. Emmy Rossum also gives a shoutout to Carrie. “She’s effortlessly cool,” she says. Whoa. Dean Winters loves Carrie, too. “I was Carrie’s **** buddy, so I’m biased. She’s my favorite.” … Surprise, surprise. Lydia Hearst is a Carrie girl. “Every girl in her life goes through heartbreak and hard work and has to overcome obstacles,” she says. “She is definitely the strongest of the characters.” Meanwhile, Lil’ Kim says Samantha is her type. Yep!

It’s showtime. My friend Doree and I are in row Q, a few rows behind Sarah Jessica, Kim, Kristin and Cynthia. Oh, look, there’s Mario Cantone! The movie is great. Get this: On the way out, we bump into Gilles Marini, who is taking photos for revelers. (Spoiler alert: He’s Dante, the guy with the hot shower scene.) How funny. The swoon-worthy actor dropped by the OK! office last week. Jason Lewis Charms at the ‘Sex and the City’ Afterparty.

Sex and the City: The Movie is in theaters now.

Photo: Kim Cattrall’s Bloody Mess!

November 7th, 2007

Yesterday on the Manhattan set of the upcoming Sex and the City film, fashion plate Samantha (Kim Cattrall) gets taught a lesson from some animal rights activists, as her precious white fur coat gets splattered with red paint!

But don’t worry, it was all for the movie. And as you might imagine, Samantha took it all in good stride. She’s got bigger things to worry about: like who her next boyfriend is going to be!

However, we’re sort of worried they didn’t ruin a perfectly good (hopefully fake) fur coat just for a silly movie!

SATC Sneak Peek: Brady Tells All

October 17th, 2007

While on the set of the upcoming Sex & the City flick, OK! caught up with the young actor who plays Brady, Miranda and Steve’s son in the film, and who also portrayed the baby on the original TV series. When asked is he was excited to be back for the movie, the five-year-old gave us a big smile and said, “Yeah!”

With his bright red hair and big eyes, little Joseph’s are blue, he is the spitting image of his big screen mom, played by Cynthia Nixon.

His real mom, Tracy, added, ““He loves it. He was the original Brady. He got scared of acting for a while after the show and didn’t want to work. But when he was three he came to me and said I need a job! He loves it.”

They grow up so fast, don’t they?

SATC: The Drama Unfolds

October 16th, 2007

After some buzz that Carrie gets left at the altar by none of than commit-phob Mr. Big, OK! has basically confirmed it after seeing a scene shot last Friday at Bryant Park.

As Carrie’s car passes Big’s car she runs out screaming “You humiliated me!” and throws her wedding bouquet at him. Quickly she is restrained by bff Miranda.

Wow, things are getting intense, especially because when OK! watched a rehearsal the couple looked so lovey dovey. Are the SATC crew throwing us all for a curve ball?

On Set With Sex and the City: Week Three

October 1st, 2007

In a rain-soaked scene on Greenwich Village’s Perry St., a pensive-looking Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) watched as what appeared to be a moving truck pulled away from her building. Dressed casually in a black jacket, red scarf and jeans, the truck pulled away — maybe to Mr. Big’s? Has the couple finally taken the plunge?

The next scene OK! saw being shot was Carrie, all dressed up in a ladylike peach dress and sky-high heels, walking down the block with her best friend Stanford and they run into Bitsy von Muffling, married to the lounge singer played by Nathan Lane. A barefoot Bitsy runs out of the salon gushing "Carrie Bradsahw PREGNANT! Mazel Tov! When is it? September? October?"

But when the same scene was shot again later that day, it sounded like she may have said "Carrie Bradshaw MARRIED. Mazel Tov. I read it in Page Six. When is it? September? October?"

So either the writers are throwing us for loop, OK!’s reporter is partially deaf or no one’s sure which way Carrie’s life is going to go yet!

The big question is, is Big still in the picture?

Stay tuned for more updates!

SATC: The Movie Shoot Continues

September 24th, 2007

On Friday, the four ladies of Sex and The City were reunited in front of Tiffany’s! And, they came face to face the girls of a new Sex and The City generation.

Today, OK! was on the set while the ladies- Charlotte, Carrie, Samantha and Miranda- shot in Rockefeller Plaza and in front of Christie’s.

Though we couldn’t hear what they were saying, Charlotte, Miranda and Carrie walked arm in arm laughing to an awaiting Samantha. They all laughed and hugged when they met up with her. And, like always, the ladies looked chic!

Charlotte and Carrie were in flouncey printed dresses while Miranda was in a pencil, straight printed dress. Samantha rocked a yellow power suit.
