Alicia Keys drew some A-list star power to Manhattan’s Hammerstein Ballroom on Thursday night when she and Padma Lakshmi co-hosted the 6th Annual Keep a Child Alive Black Ball. In addition to celeb guests like Halle Berry, Adrian Grenier, Usher and many more, Alicia also performed onstage with John Mayer and Chris Martin from Coldplay.

Exes Gwyneth Paltrow and Ben Affleck have stayed so close since their two-year relationship ended in 1999 that even their kids are pals!
Ben and his daughter Violet, 4, joined guests, including Steven Spielberg and Liv Tyler, at an April 11 rodeo-themed 3rd birthday for Gwyneth’s son, Moses, at the actress’ L.A. home.
With wife Jennifer Garner noticeable absent, State of Play star Ben, 36, chatted with the actress-turned-lifestyle guru, 36, while their children played.
"They had a lot of games for the kids, including a real horse with a cowboy," an onlooker tells OK!.
But did the reunion upset Gwyn’s hubby, Chris Martin? The bashful 32-year-old rocker ducked into the house when he saw Ben arrive.
"Chris didn’t want to be around," adds the spy. "As soon as Ben left, he came back out."
Robert Downey’s Birthday Brings out the A-List

Hollywood’s A-list couples came out to play on Saturday night, April 4, to celebrate Robert Downey Jr.’s birthday at Bond St. in the Thompson Hotel located in Beverly Hills.
In a very rare joint public appearance, RDJ’s Iron Man co-star Gwyneth Paltrow was accompanied by her hubby Chris Martin for the féte.
According to a source, they "arrived together looking very happy." Despite rampant rumors that the Oscar-winner and the Coldplay front man are having marital issues, the source said that on Saturday, "you could really tell they are content together."
Martin was not the only thing Gwyneth was digging.
"Gwyneth really liked the sushi," an onlooker tells OK! "She even stopped one of the servers carrying a tray to get more spicy tuna rolls."
But the winners of the night’s PDA award were Reese Witherspoon, whose left hand was without a ring, and Jake Gyllenhaal. "They looked so in love, and were really affectionate the entire night," a source tells OK!

Now that Christian Bale has apologized for his on-set screaming frenzy, we thought we’d revisit some of the all-time great celebrity meltdowns that have been recorded for posterity.
And some of these contain some very explicit language — so don’t say you weren’t warned!
Seinfeld Scorned By Larry King
This isn’t the most explosive outburst. But it’s made our list because it’s quite shocking to see that charming Jerry Seinfeld who we all grew to know and love getting all snippy with Larry King because he fails to fully realize how massively important Seinfeld was.
It also deserves a mention because, in this 2007 interview, the comic actually utters the legendary motto of all narked stars: "Do you know who I am?"

Gwyneth Gets Even

Gwyneth Paltrow wants to get a few things off her chest. First, she’s aware of the negative reviews her new web site, GOOP, has received from critics, and she’s not taking them lying down.
"F**k the haters! I saw this blog of people writing horrible things about me and, for a second, your ego is so wounded," Paltrow, 36, says in the March issue of Elle UK. "How could people hate me, my intentions or what I’m trying to do? I’m a good person and I’m trying to put good things into the world."
Paltrow may be obsessed with ‘nourishing the inner aspect,’ and it’s a reputation she’s known for touting. But if you think she’s a prude, think again.
"I’m probably less square than people think," she insists. "I never get drunk to the point of throwing up. But I get very talkative."
She also tells the mag she misses her days as a smoker. "Man, I wish smoking didn’t kill you," she reveals. "I’d be smoking right now. I miss it."
Another beaten subject that just won’t seem to die is the state of her relationship with husband Chris Martin. When asked why they are never pictured together, Paltrow says, "It doesn’t behoove us to be a public couple. He certainly doesn’t want to be that."
She adds, "I mean, we’ve never walked down a red carpet together, and we never will."
The March issue of Elle UK hits stands tomorrow.
