Bye Bye, Mr. Big?

April 28th, 2009

There will be shoes, of course. And Michelle Obama — sort of. But what about Mr. Big?

As we await the Sex and the City sequel — due in May 2010 — we couldn’t help but wonder about all those rumors burning up the Internet. The storyline reportedly relocates Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) to London, where hubby Big (Chris Noth) takes a job — and may or may not cheat on Carrie, who may or may not be pregnant.

One problem: earlier reports indicated Mr. Big had yet to sign on to the project, as an insider told OK!, “He wants a piece of the profits. He knows the plots don’t work without him.”

Rest easy, ladies and gents, E! News reports that SJP herself confirmed that he has indeed signed on (We can practically feel the air from relieved sighs). She assured E! at last night’s Wonderful World premiere during the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC.

As for the baby story line, Sarah Jessica is in the dark as well, saying, "I don’t know anything yet."

So where does the first lady come in? Charlotte (Kristin Davis) says of a dress, “I got this at J. Crew,” explaining that she saw it on Mrs. Obama and “had to have it.” Last, Samantha (Kim Cattrall) gets buried in the economic collapse, so maybe there won’t be shoes after all.

Chris Noth’s Big Dreams For SATC2

April 5th, 2009

While the rest of the civilized world can’t wait to find out what becomes of the marriage between Sex and the City’s Mr. Big and Carrie Bradshaw, Chris Noth seems to have other things on his mind.

Fans of the hit show and feature film may be dreaming of seeing the couple start a family in the upcoming sequel, but the actor who plays one half of the dream couple has quite different hopes. And we suspect they might not be completely selfless.

When OK! asked him what he would love to see his character do in Sex and the City 2, he told us: “A nice cruise down the Turkish coast would be good.”

And that was about all he’d say of the SATC girls’ triumphant return to the big screen, reportedly scheduled for a May 28, 2010 release — but not because he’s trying to hide any inside info.

“I really don’t know anything," he admitted to OK! at the GLAAD Media Awards in NYC. "People keep asking me, but I don’t know anything… I’ll just be excited when I’m there in front of the camera doing it.”

Hugh Jackman, Chris Noth Eye Susan Sarandon

March 27th, 2009

Tim Robbins and son Miles, 16, step out to support Susan Sarandon during her opening night for Exit The King held Thursday at NYC’s Ethel Barrymore Theatre.

The 6’5” actor admits Susan is feeling butterflies about tonight’s performance. “You should be nervous when you do anything,” he says. “It keeps you honest.”

Are wedding plans in their future?

“I think we’re doing OK on 21 years,” he tells me. “You know, we’re not.”

What makes her beautiful?

“She’s an amazing woman,” he says. “She’s a great woman, a great partner, a great artist.”

Hugh Jackman heads in with wife Deborra-Lee Furness. “Very excited,” he says. She adds, “Yeah!  We’ll see a fellow Australian, Geoffrey Rush.”

What’s Goldie Hawn’s favorite thing to do with grandson Ryder, 5, whose mom is Kate Hudson?

“Oh my God, chat,” Goldie says. “We love to talk. He says ‘Go Go, let’s talk.’ We get a cup of tea and we sit down and we talk. He’s quite brilliant. We have a lot of fun together. We also get lime ice cream.”

What would Sex and The Citys Mr. Big do if he were king?

“I’d make hybrid cars a federal law,” Chris Noth says, adding that his son Orion, 1, is doing “great.”

Chris Noth: Big Needs to Get It On!

January 9th, 2009

It’s not just the ladies who get to have fun in Sex and the CityChris Noth wants Mr. Big to get his fair share of bedroom time, should there be a sequel to the movie.

"I would like to see him get it on more," he joked to OK! at the 14th Annual Critics’ Choice Awards on Jan. 8 in Santa Monica, Calif. " I will leave that up to them. They always find something really interesting. I like it when they get him to be a little goofy."

However it’s still up in the air as to whether or not Big will get his chance to get between the sheets again with Carrie Bradshaw onscreen, and Chris says he’s just as clueless as everyone else as to SATC’s fate. He does think that all four will come back if there is a sequel.

" I don’t think that any of those girls would not want to do it," he reveals to OK!. "They actually really like each other, and they have a great time. We have a ball doing it, and it looks like it did pretty well. So, we will see."

Chris says he’s also a fan of the way the movie came out, even if it did focus mostly on the ladies.

"I thought that it was much more serious in many ways," he says. "I am glad that we were able to do that. It’s not just about shoes you know, or the underwear."

You’re right, Chris, it’s also about the men of Sex and the City, including Mr. Big, getting a chance for some lovin’!

Chris Noth Leaving Criminal Intent

June 27th, 2008

Chris Noth is ready to hand in his badge again.

The actor will be departing Law & Order: Criminal Intent after three seasons, a show rep has confirmed. His "Big" shoes will be filled by Jeff Goldblum.

”The last few years have been fantastic, and both sides are happy with the result," Chris said. "All’s well that ends well."

L&O empire creator Dick Wolf called the 53-year-old’s character Det. Mike Logan "one of the most popular detectives in the history of television. We all wish him the best."

Years before he became Mr. Big, Chris was better known as Mike Logan on the original Law & Order from the series’ start in 1990 until 1995. In 1998, when Sex and the City hit the airwaves, the actor starred in a Mike Logan-focused TV movie, Exiled: A Law & Order Movie. He joined Criminal Intent in 2005, alternating episodes with Vincent D’Onofrio as head detective of the Major Case Squad.

Chris is currently filming season 7 of Criminal Intent, now airing on USA. It is yet unclear as to how Det. Logan will be written out again and how Jeff’s new character will be introduced.

”Jeff’s presence will add a new dimension to an already successful show,” Dick said.

This will be Jeff’s second stab at a TV crime series. His short-lived show Raines aired for one month on NBC last year.
