It’s a good thing La Toya Jackson isn’t taking advantage of the tragic passing of her superstar brother Michael Jackson to put herself back in the spotlight after years of faltering in obscurity.
After all, she could do something really obvious like go out to dinner with a classy fellow like designer — and Jon Gosselin buddy — Christian Audigier at a restaurant like Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills where the paparazzi are known to roost to snap pics of publicity-hungry celebs.
Yeah… good thing she’s not doing anything like that.
Heidi Klum Blows Off Project Runway Party

It sounds like a case of Project Run Away.
Project Runway host Heidi Klum, 35, said “auf wiedersehen” to the show’s finale party — choosing to go to a friend’s fashion show instead.
And it wasn’t just the supermodel who ducked out of the bash either.
“Tim Gunn, Nina Garcia and Heidi were all in L.A. but none of them showed up,” a
Bravo insider told OK! at the Oct. 15 party, which was sponsored by Martell Cognac.
“The show has a new production company so the party was a last hurrah for most of
the crew," said our source.
"Everyone was disappointed that Heidi didn’t show. It was a slap in the face.”
Where was Heidi? At Ed Hardy designer Christian Audigier’s runway show, “It ended around 9 p.m., but she was in no hurry to leave,” source told OK!.
‘Sarah’s Fine Without George,’ Says Friend

It would take a lot of women a lifetime to get over George Clooney.
But star designer Christian Audigier says that when he saw Clooney’s ex just two weeks after the break up, she was just fine.
In fact, he said former cocktail waitress Sarah Larson is doing so well you wouldn’t even know she’d just split up with Gorgeous George!
Larson became the envy of millions back in September after the pair hooked up while she was serving drinks at the Whiskey Bar in Las Vegas.
There was even talk that she would be the one to finally marry the long-term bachelor.
But they split suddenly at the end of last month.
And French designer Audigier, 50, says that by the time Sarah, who is the face of his latest ad campaign, walked into his studio on June 17, she was all smiles.
"She seems really ok, actually. She smiles, she is young, fresh, beautiful. She was not looking hurt by what happened to her at all.
"To be honest with you, you don’t even know she was the girlfriend of George Clooney to meet her!"
Audigier, who opens his new club Christian Audigier: The Nightclub in Vegas on July 4, said that it took a while for the novice model to get used to the camera on her first shoot.
"She’s beautiful," he said. "[But] she needs to work with it. At first it was difficult to get the smile and attitude, but after some warm up she was better.
"We have got the right picture."
Britney Designs New Plan for Boys

Britney Spears hopes that a new career in fashion will help her see more of her precious sons. The troubled pop star is in talks with fashion designer Christian Audigier to design a range of T-shirts.
Britney, who often designs and sews her own clothes, has tried to work with designer Christian before. "Britney and Christian had long talked about collaborating on a clothing line together," Christian Audigier spokesperson Nicole Irving tells OK!. "But the timing was never right. Now it looks like it’s finally going to happen."
Sources close to the pop princess tell OK! that Brit wants to demonstrate to the judge in her custody battle with ex-hubby Kevin Federline that she is capable of handling the responsibilities of being in business and, therefore, can be a good parent.
"She desperately loves Sean Preston and Jayden James, and her heart breaks that she can’t spend more time with them," the source reveals to OK!. "But she realizes that if she wants to have any hope of spending more time with her children, she’s going to have to impress the court with her progress."
Britney’s next court date is May 6, at which time she intends to prove to Commissioner Scott Gordon that she’s knuckling down. With the help of her father, Jamie, the 26-year-old is well on her way to turning her life around.
"She used to spend her days driving aimlessly through L.A., going from gas stations to Rite Aid to Taco Bell," the insider tells OK!. "Now, with a schedule set by Jamie that includes getting up by 8 a.m., there has been a noticeable difference in Britney’s attitude."
Quality time spent with her boys also helps Brits’ spirit. Before her visit with Christian on April 3, the pop star spent three precious hours with her sons.
"Britney seemed really happy to see her sons," the insider recalls. "There were lots of smiles and hugs. She had a miniature John Deere tractor that the boys took turns riding on, as her father, Jamie, watched. You could tell that spending time with her sons really buoyed her spirits."
